Re: Alice in Wonderland Part 2 - Yum Cha

After a whole week of of non stop working. I'm finally done with this.

This is my entry for the "Draw This Again Contest".

I knew in the beginning that recreating my drawing wasn't gonna be easy. So many fantasy elements and details to take into consideration. I cannot just simply use black outlines or it wouldn't look fantastic. Photoshop would be my most important asset if I'm gonna make a huge improvement. Everything cleaner, clearer, and more colorful than ever. However, it took a painstakingly long time. With the colored lines, backgrounds, props, and special effects. Things may look simplistic, but I needed to keep it that way so I don't spend another week on doing this. Solid shading wouldn't look right as it looks too harsh, so I use gradients. The use of gradients was influenced by the art style of My Little Pony.

I try not to change too much in my character designs as they looked fine. Though my March Hare went through quite of a cosmetic change. He's more active, silly, and more mature. I think of some of the friendly guys who like to mess with me when I just a little kid. Tickles, nuggies, laughing at me. As for others, I merely refined their designs, nothing was really added.

I end up changing a few things like adding extra lanterns ( which I'm sure you would think of Tangled), change the designs of the vegetation. The sign say "BE VERY AFRAID" instead of "DON'T EAT MY VINES". But overall, it should be relatively close to my original picture, which is under this link.
