She looked at her guard general with her black star gazing eyes. "Are you sure you've searched everywhere?" she asked him.
"Y-y-yes," the general answered in fear, "we all did." The other guards nodded in agreement. Nightmare Moon barked in her loud voice, "What about all the towns? The forests, the mountains?" Twilight paced back and forth thinking of a plan. "We've got to find a way to keep the princess safe from that Nightmare Moon," she mumbled, "But how?" Rarity poured some tea in some cups. "We could try reasoning with her," the white unicorn suggessed as she handed a tea cup to Trixie.
Trixie staired at her with a raised eyebrow. "Reason," she repeated, "this is Nightmare Moon we're talking about, why in the hay would we wanna reason with her?" Rarity sipped her tea. "Come now," she said, "she can't be all that bad."
"Oh yes she can," Twilight neighed. Trixie sipped her tea. "Why when I see that witch, I'll turn her into a frog," she groaned. Rarity looked at her. "Now T

Fluttershy and Prince Macintosh staired into each other's eyes. The yellow pegasus never seen a stallion so handsome in her life. In fact, he was the first she'd ever seen. Her heart raced fast just for the sight of him. She was in love at first sight.
Prince Macintosh asked her, "What's a beautiful mare like yourself doing out here in the forest?" Fluttershy hid behind her mane feeling embarrest. Her cheeks turned cherry red looking away. The handsome red stallion lifted her chin with his hoof to get her to look at him again. Her hair fell to the side.
"I-I'm just... out here t-to pick some apples," she answered shyly.
"Well then," the prince said smiling, "Let me help you."
He walked up to an apple tree and kicked it with his powerful hide legs. So many apples fell off at once. Fluttershy was impressed. She never seen a stallion strong enough to knock down so many apples. He must be a farmer, she thought looking at his cutie mark. It wa

Guided by the aftermath, she was always two steps behind.
What did the world look like to the girl who had been through it all?
Braved the heaviest of storms,
yet skipping over cracks in the pavement.
They said her eyes were the wisps of clouds before the storm.
To him they were reflections of pages overlooked.
She said it was like she lived the life of someone she had never met.
Laid out to dry, yesterdays news.
He knew her as the girl who was built to never collapse.

But on nights like these, even when it threatened to consume her,
he became convinced that somehow she would.
